Dr. JB Bell, LCSW is the owner of C4 Therapy, a licensed clinical social worker, and trauma/toxic stress expert committed to helping individuals, families, & communities heal with dignity. Born and raised in Charlotte’s Hidden Valley community, JB life and work are shaped by the resilience of his community and he draws inspiration from Hip-hop music, Basketball legends, and the AME Zion Church.
JB earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He completed his PHd in pastoral counseling from Carolina Christian Bible College.
Before dedicating himself fully to C4 Therapy, Dr. JB worked as the founding administrator of the Michael Jordan Family Medical Clinics in Charlotte, NC. There he helped design care systems integrating medical with mental health while centering equity and community resilience.

Of all his accomplishments, JB is most proud of his life at home—his marriage of nearly 18 years to Melinda Bell, and their four incredible children: Amalia, Meliah, DeJuan, and Josiah. They are his grounding force, his joy, and his reminder that families can heal, grow, and thrive together.
